Today I want to talk about me graduating High School and about to college. I am totally ready to graduate High School and is exciting about going to college. I am excited about finally graduating high school because throughout high school I struggled a lot. I'm very excited about going to college because I want to get that experience.

   I want to get an higher education to better myself so I can make it as a Young Black Lady in this world. Attending college would help me prove to the teachers and people that said I was never going to get anywhere, that I will make it and will continue make it. Attending college would help me pick up a good job out in out in the world. It would also help me mature as a better individual. 

My name is Alexis and anyone that knows me will tell you i am a great person to know. i am 17 years old and attend Thurgood Marshall Academy on W. 135th street and 7th avenue. i grew up on the east side on 128th street and Lexington avenue i grew up there my whole life, most of my family is from there as well and grew up there too.To me family and my self is my first priority.

   I put my family first because thats what i was taught since i was little that family always comes first because family is the ones that going to pick you back up when your down and always going to be there when you have nobody. this was taught to me by my Nana which is my great grandmother who passed away and also by my grandmother which is my Nana daughter, who i live with today. These two phenomenal women are the two most important people to me, even though my Nana not here with me today everything i do today i do for her and my grandmother because they mean so much to me and all  i want to make them happy even though i slip up sometimes i just want to make them happy and one day i just want to get my grandmother and my brothers and sister out the ghetto.

   

Its me again I'm back to talk about me and school. This year is a very exciting year for me. It is the last year of high school for me and a lot of things are  moving quickly. I am looking forward to graduating on time but it is a lot, particularly for me because my situation is different. I'm still am taking eleventh grade classes because of my foolishness. but on the good hand I have pass most of my regents and only have one left to take which is U.S. Its a lot to handle, but I am going to stick it out.
